PESHAWAR: A man who was injured in an exchange of fire between two groups was later shot dead while being treated at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) on Saturday afternoon. Police said Jawad, Fawad and Special Branch employee Farmanullah were at a jirga with their rivals Latif and Sher Alam when things took a turn for the worse, and they began shooting at each other. “Latif and Sher Alam were killed in the shoot-out, while Farmanullah was left injured. He was rushed to LRH,” said an official of the Mathra police station. He added when Latif’s brother heard of his death, he arrived at LRH and shot Farmanullah dead before fleeing.
