Divisional commissioner Dr Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo held different meetings in his office on Thursday with district health officers (DHOs), local government officers and divisional heads of various other departments to discuss the problems faced by the common man.
In his meeting with the respective officials, the commissioner directed to ensure cleanliness, a proper and functional drainage system and removal of encroachments in their respective areas.
Mangnejo further asked them to submit annual and monthly budget allocation and expenditure so that their progress could be assessed.
He directed the officials to ensure that the dewatering pumps are ready for the upcoming monsoon season so that rainwater may be drained out without waste of time.
He further directed them to keep the street lights working.
In his meeting with the DHOs, the commissioner directed them to make sure that different doctors are posted in the morning, evening and night shifts and their attendance should be regularised.
He also demanded a comprehensive report on diseases like hepatitis, malaria and tuberculosis so that a solution could be sought.
