LAHORE: Lawyers observed a complete strike on Monday to protest against police action against Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf protesters in Islamabad.

They also condemned attacks on PTV headquarters and journalists.

The lawyers did not attend case proceedings at the Lahore High Court. At subordinate courts, too, the lawyers did not show up.

LBA office bearers condemned attacks on reporters and protesters in Islamabad. They said that police had killed people, who were protesting for their legal rights.

They said political issues should be resolved through talks rather than use of force.

The LHCBA also condemned PTI chief Imran Khan for levelling false allegations against lawyers. The lawyers also criticised the attack on the PTV headquarters and violence against journalists.
