Tremors felt: One killed in earthquake

KHWAZAKHELA: An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale was felt across Swat Valley on Sunday. One fatality was reported as a result of the quake. A woman identified as Summaya was killed after a wall fell on her in Gashkor in Khawazakhela tehsil, said the police. They added the woman was a guest who had come to visit her relatives. According to the meteorological department, the intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 6.0 and its epicenter was the border of Afghanistan and Tajikistan near Chitral, while its depth was measured at 79 kilometres.
