Police high handed: The Express Tribune reporter beaten up
Azam Khan brutally beaten up by police outside parliament Lodges while he was travelling back to office
ISLAMABAD:
The Express Tribune reporter Azam Khan was brutally beaten up by the police outside the parliament Lodges while he was travelling back to office after covering the PTI and PAT marches.
Azam was shifted to the Polyclinic Hospital, where medics provided him first aid for his head injuries. However, since the authorities had ordered the arrest of protesters with minor injuries from the hospital, Azam was shifted to a private clinic by his colleagues for proper treatment.
Azam said that the police beat him with clubs even though he identified himself as a media person. He added that the police abused the media and said the media was responsible for all the mess.
