A team of PAT lawyers led by Minhajul Quran’s counsel Mansoorur Rehman Afridi arrived at Faisal Town police station on Wednesday with the LHC order in hand. However, no duty officer was present at the station to approve the registration of the FIRs.
“We are being asked to register the FIR after one hour,” a PAT lawyer said, adding that their team has been at the police station for over an hour but there’s no one present to register the FIR.
According to sources, the police station has been ‘abandoned’ by its officials since the LHC upheld the sessions court’s decision to register FIRs against the PML-N leadership, including PM Nawaz Sharif and Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif.
When contacted, SHO Faisal Town police station Sharif Sindhu said he was not at the police station because he was on leave. However, a leave of application for the officer could not be confirmed. “The police is currently seeking legal advice for the case,” Sindhu added.
Earlier, four federal ministers had challenged a sessions court order to register murder cases against 21 federal and provincial authorities including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

The staff of the police station is absent, and the daily register and FIR book are also absent. Only head constable Mohammad Mukhtar on general duty is present and three reserves are due to arrive at the station soon.

You must be kidding me? This seems like some action movie from the 80's. What a democratic roller coaster.
@Ifzal Moghul: Why don't you tell that you are a MQM worker?
What happened to his latest deadline? He did drama with kafan and all that.
As a British Pakistani I admire the courage MQM shown during the difficult time of Pakistan Awami protest in Lahore, and the support shown by Governor Dr, I. Al Abaad Sahib was great. Now I would urge the Leadership of MQM to fully support Dr Tahir-Ul Qadri as he is fighting for the entire poor peoples of Pakistan, and MQM has to play a major role, I am hopeful If MQM joins with Dr Tahir-Ul-Qadri then Blood-shed in Pakistan will be avoided. From now on all Pakistanis all over the world will be behind with MQM - Dr- Tahir-Ul-Qadri. Pakistan Zinda Baad.
The complaint is full of lies. Police should never register it. Minhaj workers attacked police with bricks and sticks and forced them to run for their lives. It happened not once but twice.
File for comtempt proceedings against the police and CM.
Nawaz brothers must go.As long these thugs are in office justice will not be served.
Is this the democracy and rule of law the crooked traditional parties are fighting to maintain?I cant think why the Police would so scared to register a case against the Sharifs- they after-all are paragons of virtue and they would never victimise any Police officers that would register the FIR.
This is what Shahbaz sharif has given Punjab, a police that does not follow court orders, but needs legal advice!! Where is the law, where is justice? Shame on Shahbaz and PMLN.
Wow......The gullu butts are out and chased the police out. What a shame at Lahore CM and Lahore Police.
before we had ghost school, now ghost police station...
I hope the police learn a lesson from this that they shouldn't act as personal security guards of the politicians. They need to function as an independent organization that is answerable to the people of Pakistan , not its politicians.
