Arranged marriage: Teenager commits suicide

Sources claim that the girl did not want to have an arranged marriage.

SUKKUR: A teenager, H*, poisoned herself in the Behram Chanar village, within the limits of the Jarwar police station in Ghotki, after a fight with her parents on Sunday. The body was taken to Civil Hospital, Mirpur Mathelo for the postmortem. The body, however, was taken away by a village elder before the medico-legal formalities could be completed. Sources claim that the girl did not want to have an arranged marriage. *Names have been changed to protect identities.
