KARACHI: The first trailer of a film showing mountaineer Samina Baig scaling Mt Everest, the first Pakistani woman to do so, has been released.

The film is by Mirza Ali Baig, Samina's brother, and Bipolar Films in association with Karakorum Expeditions.

The 2:53 minutes long trailer provides a glimpse of the hardships faced by Samina as she made her way to the top of Mt Everest. The peak was part of a larger feat by Samina, that of scaling the seven highest peaks on seven continents.

The trailer offers a glimpse into why mountaineers consider climbing to the top of the 8,848m peak and the determination it takes to complete that feat and the dangers they have to face.

The film has been directed by Jawad Sharif, who was also the cinematographer on the film.
