Stranded in Libya: Pakistan working to get back detainees

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has been making sincere and hectic efforts to provide relief to the affected Pakistanis in Libya and Pakistani Embassy is continuing with its hectic efforts to get all detained Pakistanis released from Libyan jails. Foreign Office spokesperson while giving details said out of the total 175 Pakistanis detainees, 107 have been already been released. She said the case for release of 68 Pakistani detainees at Tavesha detention centre is already in process. The number of Pakistanis in the relief camps set up by Pakistan Embassy has now jumped to 1,700. The spokesperson said additional flights to bring back the stranded Pakistanis are scheduled for later this week following in compliance of the prime minister’s instructions.
