Targeted attack?: Cop shot injured

RAWALPINDI: A police official was shot and injured by armed assailants in the Naseerabad area of Rawalpindi, said a media report on Tuesday. Sub-Inspector Mehar Aslam was travelling home on his motorcycle when armed persons opened fire at him in Dhoke Gujran and fled leaving him injured, said a police official. The injured cop was taken to District Headquarters Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical. The police registered a case and started investigation.
