Larijani's killing: Zardari expresses condolences

President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday expressed profound grief over the assassination of senior Iranian leader Dr Ali Ardeshir Larijani amid ongoing Israeli attacks on Iran and extended his earnest condolences to the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The president observed that the ongoing escalation was resulting in human and infrastructure damages, causing serious economic repercussions and instability across the region, President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.

He recalled Dr Larijani's official visit to Pakistan in November last year, when they discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation.
