High-profile robbery: Former diplomat’s house burgled

ISLAMABAD: The house of a former senator was burgled, said a media report on Saturday. Police sources said that unidentified thieves entered the house of former senator Akram Zaki in Sector F-8 and took away cash, jewellery and other valuables worth thousands of rupees. The police registered a case against the thieves but no arrests or recoveries have been made yet. Zaki has a distinguished diplomatic career and served as Pakistan’s ambassador to China, USA, Nigeria and Philippines.
