Successful operation: Kidnapped picnickers recovered

HANGU: Twelve picnickers who were kidnapped by unidentified men a day earlier were recovered on Friday. A district administration official said the people were recovered from Kachai area on the boundary of Orakzai Agency and Kohat district. The kidnappers managed to escape before the raid, said the official. Obleya Mena police SHO Gulzar Khan said the 12 people from Kohat were on the way to the scenic Samana area of Hangu on Thursday. They were stopped at Injeer Patai area of the district where they were abducted by armed men, added the SHO. Following this, a search operation was launched by the police and security forces in the area. The political administration of Orakzai and security forces confirmed the abducted persons had been recovered.
