Workers of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will protect the lives of Nawaz Sharif and his family members, according to Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaque Sarwar.

The minister was speaking at a kissan tractors and motorcycle rally related to Independence Day celebrations on Monday.

The rally was attended by the provincial minister Tanvir Aslam Sethi, MNA Malik Abrar Ahmad, MPA Malik Iftikhar and PML-N President for Rawalpindi Sardar Saleem, among other party workers.

Sarwar condemned the announcements made by Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan, saying they are instigating people to turn to chaos and anarchy. He said Qadri’s the threats of murdering his workers if they return without a revolution are highly dangerous and a violation of the constitution.

Abrar said both Khan and Qadris marches will be foiled with the support of the people, adding that any instigation could affect the war against terrorists. He urged party workers to actively take part in the Independence Day celebrations.
