The committee also discussed its scope of work as per the notification issued by the National Assembly speaker at the time of formation of the body which has representation of all parties in parliament. Ishaq Dar, who was elected chairman of the 33-member committee, told the media that the panel will also point out shortcomings in last year’s general elections and formulate its recommendations accordingly. It will also review the recommendations of a similar committee that was constituted before the May 11, 2013 general elections, he added. According to Dar, the draft of the committee’s TORs is ready and will be made public on Tuesday once the members give their formal approval.
