Forum to highlight importance of SMEs

Will make policy interventions to address sector’s issues.

The eighth Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Forum 2014 will be held on August 19 to highlight the importance of the sector under Pakistan Vision 2025 initiative of the government.


It is expected that decisive policy interventions will be made to address the issues during the discussions.

Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal will inaugurate the forum, which will be held in Karachi under the theme “Bringing SMEs to Forefront of National Priorities”.

The State Bank of Pakistan, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, Business Support Fund, Sindh Enterprise Development Fund, chambers of commerce and industries, IFC-World Bank, Sindh finance ministry, Sindh Investment Board, women entrepreneurs, Union of Small and Medium Enterprises and commercial banks will participate in the forum.
