CHAMAN: An explosion in Chaman, Balochistan left at least four people injured on Monday, Express News reported.

The explosive material was planted on a motorcycle parked on Mall Road – main road going to Afghanistan through Chaman. The blast severely damaged a motorcycle rickshaw parked nearby.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and shifted the injured – all passersby - to a hospital for medical treatment. One of the injured is said to be in critical condition.

A security convoy had reportedly passed by the explosion site just a few minutes before the blast.

Earlier on August 7, militants had fastened an improvised explosive device to a motorcycle and parked it near a hotel on the same road. At least 12 people, including two policemen, were wounded in that remote-controlled explosion targeting a police vehicle.
