Accident : Policeman killed and four injured

SWABI: A police constable was killed and four others injured when a squad van escorting Senior Minister Shahram Tarakai and K-P Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser fell off a bridge on Sunday. A Chota Lahor police official said the van’s tyre burst on the Peshawar-Islamabad motorway, causing the accident. He said a critically injured policeman, identified as Haider Ali, died en route to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. The other injured were taken to Bacha Khan Medical Complex. The police official added, the policeman was escorting both politicians who were returning from the inauguration of a tehsil hospital. Ali, the deceased cop, was from Dobian Village.
