PESHAWAR:

A meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s regional leaders was held at the party’s provincial secretariat to chalk out a strategy for mobilising people for the Azadi March planned for August 14.

PTI General Secretary for Peshawar region Fazal Khan, Senior Vice President Asim Khan, Information Secretary Wali Khan, MNA Sajid Nawaz and Trade Secretary Aurangzeb participated in the meeting presided over by education minister and the party’s regional president, Atif Khan, stated a handout issued on Saturday.

Addressing participants of the meeting, Atif Khan said they would stay in Islamabad till their demands were accepted. He added camps have been set up in the province to register people and make preparations.

“The members who have been elected through rigging want to weaken the system even further and they will never work to solve the problems of Pakistan,” said the education minister. “The true representatives of people will serve the citizens and make Pakistan a developed nation.”

General Secretary Fazl Khan advised the regional leaders to visit all the districts of the province and use cars and motorcycles to create hype among the people.

Fazl said preparations for the march started in Ramazan, and now was the time to give a final shape to all their struggle and efforts. “All obstacles will be overturned and necessary measures will be taken to reach Islamabad and make the march a historic event.”
