Orange is the new black

Shades of orange are all over the place; being worn in fun and unexpected ways.

Sartorial trends are derived from the three ‘R’s: red carpet, runway and real life. With mid-summer trends at their peak around the world, our eagle-eyed designers and fashion analysts are picking up new looks and trends. It seems that this season, instead of keeping the classic seasonal combinations in rotation—chambray shirt, white jeans — our fashion favourites are adding a ray of sunshine to their wardrobes. Shades of orange are all over the place; being worn in fun and unexpected ways.

Spice up your wardrobe with a pair of orange skinny jeans. Admittedly, orange can be a little loud, however, if paired up with the right top you can make a bold style statement with this bang-on trend. Here is how you can:

Crisp white button-down

There is nothing that is more versatile than a well-tailored, white button-down shirt. Pairing a white button-down with a pair of orange skinny jeans is your best bet for a casual and uber-chic look. You can polish this look by rolling the pant cuffs to just above the ankles. Wear tan or nude wedges or bright pink heels to complete the look.

Head to the nearest mall and grab a pair of orange skinnies, Mango jeans are always a great fit. If you don’t have time for that but are craving some blissful retail therapy, then indulge in some online shopping  — Daraz.pk is convenient and affordable. Ecommerce is the easiest way to get a hold of fashion essentials while comfortably sitting on your bed in your pyjamas.

Classic grey t-shirt

For a relaxed look, pair your orange skinnies with a classic over-sized grey tee — preferably a darker shade of the colour. If you aren’t a big fan of the big and baggy, gather back your tee with a knot to keep it in place and flaunt your abs. Maintain the minimalistic casual look and complete your outfit with a pair of flat sneakers. Here is a picture of a wintery alternative for the look.

Stripe it up

Orange paired with blue is almost always the perfect combination. A deep blue and white striped top brings a classy nautical flare to your orange skinnies.

Horizontal stripes make you look fat and should be avoided is a fashion rule you need to break right about now. If you feel unsure, keep the stripes on the skinny side.
