History on tracks: Pakistan Railways to run Azadi Train

Various government departments are collaborating in preparation of Azadi train which will go all cities of the country

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways will run Azadi Train on August 11 in connection with Independence Day celebrations and to create awareness among the masses especially the youth about efforts and sacrifices rendered in the creation of the Pakistan. The train will start month-long journey from Peshawar on August 11 and reach Karachi on September 11. Two compartments of the train have been allocated to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) to highlight various aspects of the freedom movement and the services of armed forces. One compartment is allocated to PR highlighting history, while another was allocated to the ministry of information. Six floats on the train represent culture of each province and AJK. Various government departments are collaborating in preparation of Azadi train which will go all cities of the country.
