A spokesperson for the Punjab government on Wednesday told media that the government had not issued any instructions to impound motorcycles to ‘obstruct the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Azadi March’. He said this was a false rumour.
The police spokesman said that routine action against motorcyclists violating traffic rules should not be misconstrued as part of some far-fetched conspiracy.
“Giving the general public the wrong impression, making it appear to be a conspiracy is not justified, the spokesperson said.
