KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leaders have threatened to halt Pakistan Railways trains from Karachi to other parts of the country, if they are not provided a special train from Karachi to Rawalpindi to attend the Azadi March in Islamabad.

The PTI leaders from Karachi had submitted an application to the Pakistan Railway Karachi Division on July 26, seeking a special train on August 12, to carry party activists and supporters to Rawalpindi via Lahore.

The Pakistan Railways Karachi moved their application to the Railways headquarters at Lahore but the PTI has not received any answer since then. The party leaders blame government for not providing them a special train. “The railways Karachi officials have received our application and forwarded it to headquarters but we have not heard from the railways administration at Lahore,” said PTI Karachi senior leader Subhan Ali Sahil.

Why special trains? How about chartered flights to Islamabad, after all he won us the world cup all by himself, that too 'in the twilight of his career'

PTI's threats are increasing with every passing day. they want to get everything by force and that is against the democratic norms. one can expect such a behaviour from an mob but not from a political party worth its name. I hear a lot these days that long marches, protest and agitation is a democratic right of political parties. Agreed. but when you think you are exercising your right by blocking cities and roads you are taking away the fundamental rights from the citizens through force. it is the fundamental right of every citizen to move freely, live in peace in their houses and conduct their business without fear or hindrance but during the agitations these rights are taken away. these politicians commit crime against the citizens and no one make them accountable. at least the silent majority and the civil society should stand up and put sanity into the heads of the people who have gone insane in pursuit of their petty interests. PTI democracy is all about decency.
