Police said three men had assaulted a woman on Tuesday in Gojra. Officials said the victim was raped in Chak 99-JB by Taimoor* and two of his accomplices. Muhammad Boota, an uncle of the victim, said the girl was a resident of Chak 189-RB.
She had gone to Chak 99-JB to visit her aunt. He said she was on the way to her aunt’s house when the men overpowered her. He said they took her to a deserted place and raped her several times. Boota alleged that police had failed to take action against the culprits despite several complaints. Police said a case had been registered and a team had been constituted to arrest the culprits.
