Law and Order: Two ‘robbers’ killed in shootout

The injured man was taken to a hospital where he died.

BAHAWALPUR: Two robbers were killed, one in friendly fire and the other in a shootout with police, on Friday, police said. Aab-i-Hayaat police said Irshad Ahmad was  stopped by three men near Chak 55. They said when 10 men tried to take away his motorbike, Ahmad grabbed one of them. Police said in the ensuing commotion, one of the robbers was shot and killed by an accomplice. The other robbers fled the scene. A police team set up a picket and stopped two men who shot at them and tried to flee. Police said they shot at the men and injured and captured one of them. The other managed to flee. The injured man was taken to a hospital where he died.
