LAHORE:

Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab chapter president Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo on Monday criticised the provincial government for taking back the police guards deployed at his residence. Wattoo, a former chief minister, said he was entitled to police protection.

The PPP leader said that police guards had been removed from his house without prior notice. He said the chief minister and law minister would be responsible if there was any attack on him or one of his family members. Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sindhu denied that the government had withdrawn police guards provided to Wattoo.

Let him hire private guards and pay from his pocket. People want to enjoy perks even if they are not in the government at the cost of the people.
