Keeping guard: 5,568 cops on security duties in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD:

City Police Officer (CPO) Sohail Habib Tajik on Monday said over 5,568 policemen and volunteers had been deputed to beef up security at 1,001 Eid congregations in Faisalabad.

He said six superintendents and 13 deputy superintendents would supervise and monitor security arrangements. He said the police would also set up pickets at 171 points including Kamalpur Interchange, Sahianwala and Deputywala. The CPO said 398 policemen had also been deployed for security of 21 graveyards and 26 public parks.
