Helping the homeless: National policy needed for displaced persons says Fauzia Kasuri

New officer bearers of ISF took oath on the occasion.

A Central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Fauzia Kasuri, has stressed the need for devising a national policy for the displaced people of North Waziristan.


Speaking at an Iftar-dinner hosted by the Insaf Student Federation on Thursday, Kasuri said her party will always stand by the displaced people and never abandon them. “We will leave no stone unturned to facilitate the people of North Waziristan,” Kasuri was quoted as saying in a press statement issued by PTI’s provincial media cell on Friday.

PTI women’s wing president Meher Taj Roghani, MPAs Aisha Naeem, Nargis Ali and Shaukat Yousafzai, ISF provincial present Sohail Afridi and provincial women wing president Sumera Shams were also present on the occasion. Earlier, Afridi said volunteers had been putting in all their efforts to mitigate the problems faced by displaced persons, adding ISF volunteers had been assisting people at camps in Bannu, Peshawar and DI Khan.

New officer bearers of ISF also took oath on the occasion.
