“I really don’t know what sparked this rumour. I have no idea what that is all about,” said Abbasi. “I even read that our families are in talks for the marriage already. We know each other quite well and for as long as six years now. I will come forward myself and share whenever I decide to get hitched,” he added.
He further clarified that he has absolutely nothing to hide and that the conjecture puts the duo, which will be seen together in the upcoming Pakistani film Kambakht, in an awkward position. “It has caused us a lot of inconvenience,” he said.
Appalled by the rumour, Qamar referred to it as “nonsense.” She confirmed that she and Abbasi are merely good friends and colleagues. “We have worked together in the film [Kambakht]. “Koi chakkar nahi hai humara. I pray that God gives people something better to do than speculate,” she said.
