Fatality: Suspected robber shot down by guard

FIR has been registered against robbers on MQM lawmaker’s guard’s complaint.

HYDERABAD: A suspected robber was shot down by the security guard of Muttahida Qaumi Movement lawmaker, Rana Siddiqui, during an alleged robbery incident in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. The incident took place in Latifabad outside the residence of journalist Khalid Khokhar. According to Hussainabad SHO Kareem Abbassi, Siddiqui’s guard is a policeman named Muhammad Shah. He fired at the robbers after they snatched a mobile phone and cash from the driver of Siddiqui’s car. One of the robbers was hit by a bullet in his head and the other escaped unhurt. An FIR has been registered against the robbers on Shah’s complaint. The slain suspected robber has yet to be identified. According to Khokhar, the parliamentarian’s son is a friend of his son and the two were sitting at his house when the incident took place.
