Family protests: Suspected criminal killed in ‘encounter’

KHAIRPUR: One man was killed while two others were injured in a police encounter near Karoondi on Thursday. According to the Faiz Gunj police, a criminal, Abdul Sattar, from Multan was killed while two others, namely Muhammad Akber and Muhammad Altaf, were arrested in injured condition along with weapons in an encounter near Karoondi. The injured were shifted to a Nawabshah hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased and injured protested and rejected the police claims of an ‘encounter’. They said the deceased and the injured were arrested three days ago by the police along with a woman and a child who are still missing. They were arrested on their way back to Multan from Sehwan Sharif. They said that the police conducted a fake encounter. They appealed the authorities to take notice in this regard and provide justice to them.
