Constant vigilance: Hospitals on high alert for Hazrat Ali’s martyrdom day

Hospitals instructed to start cleanliness drives in view of monsoon season.

The Health Department has placed all public hospitals on high alert in order to deal with an emergency situation in connection with the day of Hazrat Ali’s (RA) martyrdom observed on Sunday (today).


Administration officials of all teaching hospitals have been instructed to stay vigilant and make special arrangements in Emergency Wards and place doctors on reserve in case of an emergency.

A Health Department official said that hospitals in all districts of the Punjab had been directed to remain on high alert. In Lahore, all teaching hospitals have been instructed to have doctors in reserve and remain vigilant. Emergency treatment will be provided to mourners at hospitals.
