Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said on Friday that the government had taken concrete steps to ensure the availability of reasonably priced quality necessities during Ramazan.

The minister was speaking to journalists after visiting the Millat Road Ramazan Bazaar.

The minister expressed satisfaction with the arrangements. He also interacted with customers in the bazaar.

Sarwar said that the provision of necessities at subsidised rates had provided relief to the public. The minister said that the crowds thronging Ramazan Bazaars were evidence of the success of chief minister Shahbaz Sharif’s initiative to provide economic assistance to the public. He directed duty officers to maintain quality standards at the bazaar. He said negligence or corruption would not be tolerated.
