Wounded: Doctor, attendant injured by assailants

Unidentified armed assailants fired at them which injured both.

LARKANA: A doctor and the attendant of his patients were injured in Nazar Muhalla within the jurisdiction of the Rahmatpur police station on Thursday. Dr Khalilur Rahman Soomro was sitting in his private clinic in Nazar Muhalla along with the attendant, Waheed Detho, who had come there to get his children examined by the doctor. Unidentified armed assailants fired at them which injured both. They were rushed to the Casualty of the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH). The doctors at the CMCH said that Soomro was hit by one bullet which crossed his right ear to the eye, damaging both. Detho was hit by a bullet in the left side of the neck, which exited from below the left lower jawbone. Dr Soomro is posted as the demonstrator in BS-17 in the anatomy department of the Chandka Medical College. According to the doctors, Soomro’s condition was critical while Detho was gaining stability. No case was registered until the filing of this report, while further investigations are underway.
