‘Mein Karachi’: Youth Festival to start August 10 at Arts Council

There will be photography, drama, painting, singing, debate, quiz, essay writing competitions in English and Urdu.

The seven-day Karachi Youth Festival (KYF) will start from August 10 at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.


Arts Council secretary Muhammad Ahmed Shah announced this during a press conference held at its premises on Tuesday. The event is being organised in collaboration with the Sindh youth affairs department in connection with the International Youth Festival to be marked on August 12.

Speaking at the conference, Shah said that a campaign called ‘Mein Karachi’ has been initiated by some members of the civil society and government departments. The festival is one of the programmes and events that are being organised for the youth as part of the drive. The purpose of these activities is to boost the morale of the young people of Karachi, he said.

Shah revealed a few details of the upcoming event. There will be photography, drama, painting, singing, debate, quiz and essay writing competitions in both English and Urdu languages.
