Raided: Rs3.3 million taken away in robbery

Police have registered a case against seven unidentified suspects.

BAHAWALPUR: Armed gunmen took away Rs3.3 million cash and valuables from a house in Rahim Yar Khan on Wednesday night. Muhammad Zafar, a resident of Kachi Mandi, said seven robbers forced their way into his home, while he was asleep with his family. “They tied us with ropes and went through the house,” Zafar said. He said the robbers took the cash and jewellry from his house and fled. Police have registered a case against seven unidentified suspects. Robbers snatched 20 cattle heads from Jhok Utara in Sadiqabad tehsil on Thursday. Saeed Mulla was grazing his cattle near the Indus River, when eight unidentified gunmen arrived there. They tied him with ropes and took away the cattle. Some neighbours later freed Mulla.
