The body of an official of the elite force who went missing on July 14 was found in a field in Kohat on Thursday, and the police have arrested three people accused of kidnapping him.
Police official Zafarullah Khan said Nauroz Khan filed a case stating his son Shahzad Mir, an elite force official at Lachi police station, returned home from work in the evening on Monday but left in a hurry after receiving a call.
Nauroz added that Mir told the family he had to go back to the police station because the police was planning to conduct a raid.
However, Mir never returned home and his body was subsequently found on Thursday morning. Zafarullah, however, said no raid was conducted by Lachi police on Monday and no one from the station called Mir.
