Honour killing: Man shot dead by wife's father

The SHO added that the police have arrested Wazir and Sher and seized the pistol used in the attack.

A young man who came to attend a hearing at the district and sessions court, Mirpurkhas, on Wednesday was shot dead in an alleged honour killing case.


According to Town police station SHO Adam Abro, Hassan Babbur had married Najma Odh four months ago without the consent of the latter's family. A police case was lodged by her parents and the couple became entangled in court proceedings.

On Wednesday, Babbur came to attend the hearing when his father-in-law Wazir Ali Odh and brother-in-law Sher Ali Odh attacked him. Babbur ran to save his life but he was fatally shot. He was rushed to Hyderabad but he died on his way. The SHO added that the police have arrested Wazir and Sher and seized the pistol used in the attack.

These fanatics never worry even if their daughter become a widow. Women is also a property in Muslim countries just like sacrificial goats. What a culture?
