Capital development authority: Final phase begins for Kashmir Highway

The construction of five lanes on both sides from Golra Mor to Peshawar Mor has been completed.

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) had entered into the final phase of the mega project of widening Kashmir Highway as the maximum portion has been opened for transport. The construction of five lanes on both sides from Golra Mor to Peshawar Mor has been completed. An official of CDA told media, that road lights of Kashmir Highway had been made functional and land marking was being carried out. He said that authority had directed to plant saplings along roadside after ensuring cleaning of 24-feet wide strip, amounting to Rs9 million. He said that now the construction work of a bridge was under way and would be completed as soon as possible. “The member administration of CDA has played a key role to expedite the construction work of the Kashmir Highway.” The project was stalled for many years during the previous regime, he added.
