Culprits arrested: Larkana police recovers relief goods

SUKKUR: Larkana police raided on Saturday evening a warehouse in Eid Gah Muhalla located within the Market police station limits and recovered relief goods worth thousands of rupees and arrested two men. Two Mazda pickup vans loaded with relief goods were being stored in a warehouse in Eid Gah Muhalla. The police raided the area and recovered relief goods including wheat flour, rice, sugar, pulses and others. They arrested the owner of the warehouse, Asadullah Shaikh, and a driver, Ameer Bux Khoso. Shaikh runs a grocery shop in Eid Gah Muhalla and, according to the initial investigation reports, he had purchased these goods from an office bearer of an NGO in Karachi. The Market police station head constable, Mohammad Alam Jumrani, while talking to The Express Tribune, confirmed the recovery of the relief goods and said that these food items had been gifted by the Saudi government for the IDPs. Further investigation is currently under way.
