ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) says work on widening the Kashmir Highway from Peshawar Mor to Golra Mor has entered the final phase. According to a CDA official, the civic agency stated that most of the portion has been opened for traffic as the road has now been expanded to five lanes on both sides.  The official told APP that lights have been installed on the roads and the lanes have been marked to ensure a smooth flow of traffic. He said the authority will clear a 24-feet strip along the road and plant saplings at a cost of Rs9 million. He said a bridge on the road is also under-construction. The authority official said the project was stalled during the previous Pakistan Peoples Party government but the incumbent government has taken a keen interest in the project and ensured its early completion.
