Minister says purpose of Rs5b relief package in Ramazan was to ensure steady supply of flour at controlled price.
Minister for Agriculture Dr Farukh Javed on Thursday said the purpose of the Rs5 billion relief package in Ramazan was to ensure steady supply of flour at controlled price.
He was visiting a Ramazan Bazaar located at Eid Gah Road and Tasneen Fawara Chowk. Taking notice of the poor quality flour being sold in the bazaar, he recommended suspension of the district food controller. He directed the Market Committee secretary to ensure prices of food items were affordable. He said blood pressure and dehydration medication should always be available at the market.
