Immolated: Oil tanker catches fire, two people die

A road accident between two trawler trucks and an oil tanker on Super Highway left two persons, including a woman, dead. The incident happened near Thano Bula Khan around 6am. According to Nooriabad police station SHO Hashim Brohi, the tanker collided into the trucks which were parked by the roadside. The crash left the tanker and a truck in flames which continued to burn for over seven hours as the fire brigade could not reach the distant spot. The drivers and the crew of the other two trucks remained largely unhurt. The police identified the dead tanker driver as Aijaz and the girl as Sakeena. She was travelling with the tanker driver. The other truck drivers endangered their lives to pull out the bodies from the burning vehicle. Both the bodies were later shifted to the mortuary of Civil Hospital, Hyderabad.
