Crime round-up: Two arrested for looting constable
DI KHAN:
Two men snatched a police constable’s motorcycle, cell phone and bag at gunpoint from Luchara Chowk on Wednesday, a Parowa police official told The Express Tribune. The two culprits were on a motorcycle. Soon after the incident, Parowa police officials set up barricades at Naywella where they intercepted the two men. The constable’s belongings were recovered and the men were put behind bars. Meanwhile, in Galutti Mur on DI Khan-Bannu Road, an man named Matiullah was arrested over suspicion of sheltering absconders, said a Yarrak police official. In another search operation, the police arrested three suspects identified as Mehboob Khan, Laiq Khan and Azam Khan. The police confiscated one repeater gun, one gun, 69 bullets as well as contraband.
