A teenager was shot dead by unidentified people in Sur Kamar, Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency late Saturday night.
According to an official of the Jamrud political administration, 18-year-old Mustafa was heading home around 10:30pm after visiting relatives in Sur Kamar when two men travelling on a motorbike intercepted him and opened fire. Upon hearing the firing, locals rushed to the spot, however, the assailants had escaped.
The official added Mustafa was rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex where he succumbed to his injuries.
Isar Toorkhel, the father of the deceased teenager, told the political administration that he or his family had no disputes.
Unidentified militants also targeted the house of a political administration official in Jamrud on Sunday.
Roshan Mehsud, a political administration official, said the first incident occurred around 12:30am. “Militants planted a bomb along the boundary wall of a house owned by Bismillah Jan, a political administration official, in Shakas. The bomb was detonated via a remote-controlled device,” said Mehsud.
