Energy Starved: Hydel project given to Chinese company
ISLAMABAD:
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Organisation has approved to award contract of Jagran Phase-II Hydel Power Project to the Chinese company, CWE. The approval was given at a meeting headed by AJK Prime Minister Chaudry Abdul Majeed in Islamabad on Saturday. The project at a cost of Rs7.3 billion has the capacity to produce 48 megawatts electricity.
