According to ESPNcricinfo, BCCI's Sanjay Patel revealed the next eight year cycle for the Indian team.
Arguably the most powerful cricket board at present, the BCCI has planned 20 Tests against England, 16 against Australia and 12 against South Africa. The board has also conditionally tabled six series with Pakistan in the Future Tours Programme (FTP) 2015-2023.
In the recent ICC annual conference in Melbourne, PCB had sought assurances from their counterparts on the resumption of bilateral cricket. However, it seems that the Indian government will have the final say on the matter.
PCB hopes to host the first of the six series in December 2015.
Meanwhile India is set to host more test cricket at home and invite England, Australia and South Africa regularly; these series will earn major revenue to the host board besides increasing the chances of participation of national players in domestic cricket.
Patel also claims that the additional income earned through broadcast rights will be distributed among domestic players who are also likely to have their earnings doubled in the next domestic season.
