Seminar: Speakers stress quality education

Dean Dr Alyia Khan said the HEC desires that universities should deliver quality educational programmes.

ISLAMABAD: Speakers at a seminar called for improving educational standards at the universities to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) arranged the seminar “Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Procedures and Challenges” at its campus on Tuesday. National Defense University (NDU) QEC Director Dr Muhammad Riaz was the guest speaker. Dr Riaz stressed that besides career counseling universities should provide a conducive environment to students for effective learning. QEC Director Dr Rahat Hussain Bokhari shared the progress made by the university during 2014. He also appreciated programme and assessment teams for their cooperation with the QEC in achieving the targets set for the year. QAU Faculty of Social Sciences Dean Dr Alyia Khan said the Higher Education Commission desires that universities should deliver quality educational programmes.
