"Ramazan teaches us love, brotherhood and human respect. We cannot ignore our brothers and sisters from North Waziristan who are staying in camps, leaving their homes for the sake of peace in the country," the prime minister said in his message on the onset of the holy month.
He said the government would never leave IDPs in a lurch and would extend all possible facilities to them.
"Ramazan teaches us sacrifice, and at this difficult time we should act like one nation so that our brothers and sisters do not face any difficulty," he remarked.
"For us, Ramazan is also a month of accountability -- both nationally as well as collectively," he said.
The premier said that Islam teaches moderation with no room for extremism, violence and narrow-mindedness. The basic objective of Islamic teachings was to open up avenues of peace and justice for humans, he added.
