End of fiscal: Pakistanis sent home nearly $15b

Managing Director OPF claims skilled Pakistani workers would generate handsome foreign exchange in coming years.

MULTAN: Home remittances sent by Pakistanis working in foreign countries will reach around $15 billion by the end of the financial year 2013-14. Managing Director Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Iftikhar Babar told APP that a total of 627,000 Pakistanis were working abroad while the demand of Pakistani workers was rising in Qater, Saudi Arabia and other countries of Middle East. He claimed that skilled Pakistani workers would generate handsome foreign exchange in coming years.
